About the Item

Inspired by wild meadows capturing the untamed beauty and vibrant life of these natural landscapes. This original oil and acrylic painting has a lush array of colours, with shades of green representing the rich variety of grasses, punctuated by the bright blooms of wildflowers in pinks, yellows and purple. The use of oil paints provides a rich, textured surface that enhances the depth and realism of the scene, while acrylics can add vibrant, quick-drying layers that give the artwork an ethereal quality. The composition is dynamic, reflecting the movement of wind through the meadow, with grasses and flowers swaying gently. Luana studied painting at Elam School of Fine Arts in New Zealand many moons ago and took a detour into design, which can be really shown in her work. Luana is continually reimagining the world in my abstract interpretations, reducing the visible world into shapes, colours and patterns. Music plays a big part and influences the way she paints and draws, rhythmically it sets a pace where she can visualise colour vibrations. Most of her drawings become preparatory drawings for painting either in oils or acrylics. Different objects, photos and words trigger a memory or a feeling. Abstract art creates an inner world, you never really know where it will take you or what the end result will be, I love the explorative nature of it and the visual sensations that unfold. She works from her little studio in South London. Dungarvan is the hometown of her husband, a picturesque town in Ireland which is a constant source of inspiration in her work.

What the Night Delivers Black and Yellow Art Abstract Painting, Contemporary Art
By Gina Parr
Located in Deddington, GB
What the night delivers" an original abstract contemporary landscape by Gina Parr and other works from the series "Love or Money", explore the deep emotional connection with land and sea scape that the Artist's father gave to her; taking her with him on his day and night fishing trips when she was a child. Working with the memories and emotions of both joy and saudade for time past and life experience gained, her practice reflects her fundamental need to express this bitter- sweet nature of the human condition through abstracted scape and form. In this work Parr is interested in conveying both the joy and the apprehension of her memory of an overnight trip in the darkness to fish with her father. Gina Parr is available online and in our gallery at Wychwood Art. Gina works predominantly in the medium of painting, but also photographs when traveling: her way of painting whilst on the move. Her work is driven by autobiographical themes and natural reference, exploring the human condition through connections to place, time, space and memory. She has exhibited widely in galleries and art fairs in the UK and completed commissions in The Middle East, Belguim and London. Her works are held in collections Worldwide including Keble College Oxford, Director of Jestico + Whiles Architects London, President of the Boston's Children's Museum USA, and Goldman Sachs Senior Economist, London. Originally trained as a Fine Artist, graduating with a First Class BA Honours Degree, she went on to Chelsea College of Art to study Set...

Tree of Love, Abstract Painting, Colourfield Painting, Large Statement Art
By Jon Rowland
Located in Deddington, GB
Jon Rowland – The emotional response to the subject of the ‘Tree of Life’ was a focus was on paint and feeling. Strong colours and the free flow of form breaking out from what seems like constraining structures are the result. To categorise it as landscape or still life is not what this painting is about. It is what it is. Discover new paintings by Jon Rowland and his abstract expressionism with Wychwood Art. Each work has been carefully selected by Deborah Allan our Chief Art Curator. Wychwood Art have exhibited Jon Rowland in London during a pop-up exhibition of theirs at the Darren Baker Gallery. His paintings have been displayed at the Royal Academy and at the Berthold and Darren Baker Gallery in London. He has also exhibited in group exhibitions at Linacre and Green Colleges, at Swann Gallery in Woodstock, and with Wychwood Art at Battersea Art Fair. He was one of six contemporary artists who took part in an exhibition of views of Blenheim Palace, juxtaposing the original visions with today's, as part of the celebration of the 300th anniversary of Capability Brown's birth. Solo exhibitions have been at the Said Business School, Wolfson College in Central Oxford, and most recently at the Sewell Centre Art Gallery and Cornerstone Art Centre in Oxfordshire, and the Boiler Room...
