"I often draw inspiration from nature and Eastern art, particularly from the avant-garde Japanese Gutai movement.
My paintings today predominantly reflect the stylistic features of abstract expressionism. Some of my most well-known works include the Zen Studies and Nocturnes series. As an artist, I find myself increasingly seeking deeper commitments, whether through environmental causes or social engagement. A common thread throughout my art is the complex relationship between humans."

Born in 1966, Krisztina Horvath is a Dutch artist known for her expressive abstract expressionist works that explore the relationship between humanity and nature. Her creative process is deeply intuitive, emphasizing movement and gesture, often drawing inspiration from nature and Eastern art, particularly the Japanese avant-garde Gutai movement. Horvath’s notable series, "Zen Studies" and "Nocturnes", reflect her evolving artistic journey and her increasing commitment to addressing environmental concerns and the impact of human activity on the planet. She has participated in group exhibitions and art fairs worldwide, with shows in cities such as Milan, New York, Madrid, Brussels, and Amsterdam. In 2023, she held a solo exhibition at the ArteSpazioTempo gallery in Venice, Italy. Horvath studied art at the Laren Art Academy in the Netherlands and has attended several masterclasses to further develop her craft. Today, she continues to explore the expressive power of abstract expressionism, using her art to provoke thought and encourage dialogue on the pressing environmental issues of our time.
