Jamie Burmeister
Yellow Drip - Colorful Abstract Figurative Sculptural Contemporary Artwork

2025

About the Item

Nebraka-based Jamie Burmeister is a sculptor known for his original small bronze figures, standing at just 4 inches tall. His unique figurative sculptures have been showcased in galleries, museums, and public art installations worldwide, including notable venues like the Joslyn Art Museum and the Des Moines Art Center. Burmeister's work explores the human experience through humor and absurdity, with a recent focus on incorporating color, which he finds both challenging and inspiring. A recipient of multiple awards, including the 2016 Governor’s Art Awards Outstanding Artist, Burmeister earned his M.F.A. in Sculpture from the University of Nebraska in 2005. The artist used acrylic paint, bronze figures and buckets to compose this artwork. This artwork combines vivid color, dynamic movement, and sculptural elements to create a visually captivating and playful artwork. This one-of-a-kind sculptural mixed-media painting on wood measures a total of 23 inches tall by 20 inches wide, and 2-inches deep, including the bronze figures. Painted on a 20-inch square wood panel, the background area is dominated by layers of warm yellow. From the center of the piece, colorful lines drip downward, suggesting fluidity and spontaneity, as if the paint is alive and in motion. These lines add energy and rhythm, contrasting beautifully with the yellow base. Adding a unique sculptural dimension, small bronze figurative sculpture and buckets are thoughtfully placed along the top of the panel. The bronze figures create the narrative of this composition by dripping buckets of paint from their perch at the top of the artwork. These miniature figures bring a playful narrative to the artwork, interacting with the painted surface and adding a tactile, three-dimensional quality. Jamie Burmeister signed this original artwork on the back. The artwork is wired and ready to hang. The sides are painted as a continuation of the front and it does not need framing. Free local Los Angeles area delivery. Affordable Continental U.S. and International shipping are available. A certificate of authenticity issued by the art gallery is included. Burmeister's artistic journey is marked by a relentless pursuit of innovation and engagement with diverse audiences. His practice transcends conventional boundaries, as he often incorporates elements of street art and public installation, fostering an interactive experience that invites participation and reflection. The use of humor in his work acts as a catalyst for deeper engagement, allowing viewers to confront uncomfortable themes with a sense of levity. In addition to his gallery exhibitions, his commitment to community-oriented projects demonstrates a keen understanding of art’s potential to transform public spaces. His extensive exhibition history and numerous accolades, including multiple honors from the Nebraska Arts Council, highlight his significant contribution to the contemporary art landscape, positioning him as a vital voice in the discourse surrounding original sculptural art. Del Amo - Figurative Surrealist Portrait Landscape Paintings on Exposed Wood
By Eddy Lee
Located in Los Angeles, CA
Eddy Lee’s figurative surrealist portrait paintings on exposed wood depict emotive sirens who evoke a sense of mystery and seductiveness. His original artworks combine geometric elements with innocent women portraits seeking to trigger emotions, rather than communicating specific explanations. He reconciles the unconscious with rational life, exploring the power of dreams, embracing automatism, and freeing his subjects from the constraints of conscious thought. This colorful, intriguing portrait is painted with acrylic and gouache on a hand-built cradled wood panel. This one-of-a-kind original artwork is 48 inches high by 36 inches wide and is signed by the artist on the back. It is wired and ready to hang. It does not require framing. Free local Los Angeles delivery. Affordable Continental U.S. and worldwide shipping available. A certificate of authenticity issued by the art gallery is included with this unique work. Originally from Seattle, Washington, Eddy Lee relocated to Los Angeles in late 2012 to pursue a full-time career as a fine artist. He started his career on the Venice Beach Boardwalk and quickly gained a large following across the United States with exhibitions in San Francisco, Las Vegas, and Los Angeles. The artist’s work is inspired by the works of Audrey Kawasaki...
