About the Item
A captivating abstract painting by Estela Aguirre executed in mixed media on linen. The painting features a thick, and textured application of paint and mixed materials to create a rich surface with abundant movement and energy. The atmosphere of the composition is made up of silvery whites, pale pinks and creamy oranges. At the center of the composition is a gathering gestural forms that spans horizontally and meets both the right and the left edge of the picture plane. Colors include umber, rust, dark blue, burgundy, with a yellow-orange glow emerging from the center.
The panting is unframed and gallery wrapped on wooden stretcher bars with a brace supporting the back. Its edges are painted neatly in black.
About the Artist:
Estela Aguirre is an abstract artist from Saltillo, Mexico. She began painting while getting her masters degree in Human Behavior when she was assigned an open-ended project that required her to turn in a work of self-expression. She chose to paint and fell in love immediately. As she developed in skill, friends, acquaintances and eventually strangers began to recognize and purchase her work.
She has participated in individual and collective exhibitions such as: Artists of Lationoamérica Paris and collective Lyon, Gallery Des Ursulines, Saint Rémy de Provence, France.
