Sailing into the Sun is an abstract landscape painting. It is oil on canvas. It is gallery wrapped so there is no need for a frame. On a summer morning in 1993 a 22 years old young came to Florida from a small old town in the central area of Cuba called Santa Clara. In his bag, he brought no more than two valuable things, his worn-out brushes and a great dream. The dream to one day become a professional artist in this new land that welcomed him with open arms. Captivated by his love for the beauty of the Landscapes, his last works are what he sees even in the most common scenes: the close relationship of life and who we are with the natural world around us that asks us to respect and care for it. Inspiration 2021 Artist signed verso, oil on canvas 48x36 JARO was born in 1934 Prague the Czech Republic. Since his childhood, he enjoyed his art class at school the most. Almost every drawing and panting were on display in his classroom. During his college years, in Vienna Austria, studying to become mechanical engineer, he continued to study art. His technical drafting education became later a major factor and influence in his GEOMETRIC ABSTRACTION (Non-Objective) paintings. He immigrated in 1957 to the USA, New York , where he finished his first small oil painting. Since then JARO painted on and off, until he opened his own studio in 1965 on East 4th Street in the Village. Here he created a series of well designed palette knife paintings in the style of abstract expressionism. JARO stretched off shaped canvases, making him one of the first artists working with these unique shapes. Artwork reflects the story of 7 safari days in the Red Sea on liveaboard Heaven Saphir. Artist captured the best dive spots – highlights of the Red Sea such as Abu Nuhas wrecks, Ras Mohamed National Park, wreck Thistlegorm, Brothers, wreck Salem Express. There were a several underwater painting sessions in seven days in a different places. In the end all dive team who participated in this expedition gave some touch to the artwork to seal a story.
