About the Item

The Salad Of Color 2021 Large abstract heavy texture, oil on hemp fabric 58x58x3.5, framing for additional cost. This painting by Alexander and Natalia Gore husband and wife both born in St. Petersburg Russia in 1958 and in the 1980 emigrated to the USA. Alexander Gore was an artist in New York for over ten years before moving to South Florida. Having traveled extensively. Alexander's memories and influences infuse his artwork, as he feels compelled to commit them to the canvas. Having moved to South Florida, the climate and colors inspired and invigorated his current collection of works. Gores's style of art reflects a powerful surrealistic influence and incorporates abstract and semi-abstract forms, weightless in space and time. Presenting an alternate view of reality, they use lines, curvy characters, and intricate touches to create an atmosphere for the imagination to fill. Gore’s works give a picture of black lines, curvy characters, and intricate touches, creating texture an atmosphere for the imagination to fill. The great changes, of light and shade, prompted him to paint weightless forms unknown to nature; he unlocked vital energy and creative spirit. Gore’s style of art reflects a powerful surrealistic influence and incorporates countless travel experiences. He works in abstract and semi-abstract forms, weightless in time and space. His art portrays an alternative view of reality, one without borders and limitations. Alexander’s paintings, which are original and made with oil on canvas or paper, are immediately recognized by the dominant lines, twisted shapes and subtle colors. He has created a new style of art he calls “Agorism,” a style based on principle and motivated by surrealistic image. While Alexander Gore’s art has been shown in museums, galleries and auction houses globally, he has gained most renown along the East Coast, appearing in Washing DC, New York, and Miami. “Imaginary forms are a huge part of human fantasizing that is the primary activity of a human. Visualizing and acting on it is a creative activity of an artist. All important ideas in our culture found a base in the past and the collective imagery of today produce all the archetypes in the western world. Images are always voices of the inner self and to record is a moment of artistic ability.”

Inspiration Geometric Abstraction
By Jaro
Located in Lake Worth Beach, FL
Inspiration 2021 Artist signed verso, oil on canvas 48x36 JARO was born in 1934 Prague the Czech Republic. Since his childhood, he enjoyed his art class at school the most. Almost every drawing and panting were on display in his classroom. During his college years, in Vienna Austria, studying to become mechanical engineer, he continued to study art. His technical drafting education became later a major factor and influence in his GEOMETRIC ABSTRACTION (Non-Objective) paintings. He immigrated in 1957 to the USA, New York , where he finished his first small oil painting. Since then JARO painted on and off, until he opened his own studio in 1965 on East 4th Street in the Village. Here he created a series of well designed palette knife paintings in the style of abstract expressionism. JARO stretched off shaped canvases, making him one of the first artists working with these unique shapes. At the time JARO owned his own studio, he studied at the Art Students League 57th Street, New York.  Later in 1969, he studied in Woodstock for several years with John Pike, one of the foremost watercolorists in America, as well as, with Robert Angeloch...

Grey & Tan Abstract Expressionist Textural Mid-Century Abstract by Peter Witwer
By Peter Witwer
Located in Soquel, CA
Grey & Tan Abstract Expressionist Textural Mid-Century Abstract by Peter Witwer Heavily textured, expressive composition by Peter Witwer (American, 1928-1968). Over the top of a heavy base layer of plaster, Witwer has added various layers of oil paint, creating a massive amount of depth and texture. Sections of red peek out from underneath various shades of tan, grey, and black. Spots of blue and purple are used sparingly, hidden in the composition. Presented in a wood frame. Canvas size: 20"H x 40"W Frame size: 26.63"H x 46.63"W Unsigned, but was acquired with a collection of the artist's work. Provenance: Without a will and a family that had little interest in his art, nearly all of his possessions and close to 100 paintings were turned over to SF’s Conservators Office. His friend, Albert Richard Lasker, purchased all of Peter’s possessions (including the art) and has taken care of them until this day, always sensing there was something remarkable about the collection. Wanting Peter’s work to finally be seen, Richard came to Lost Art Salon with Peter’s story after reading about the new gallery in a July, 2005 issue of the SF Chronicle. Born George Peter...
