Only Little Life 20222 Gallery wrap. Malgosia Kiernozycka was born in Wroclaw, Poland. She graduated high school at the School of Fine Arts and received a scholarship from the Minister of Culture and Art for the University of Fine Arts in Wroclaw. She studied glass design under Prof Witkowski and painting under Prof Wanda Golkowska. She received her master’s degree along with an award. In 1986 she moved to Germany and studied screen design at the Multimedia Academy in Mainz, and worked as a guest speaker at the Academy of Fine Arts in Wiesbaden. In 1989 she participated in an art exhibition for the best Diploma works in Munich, Germany, and was invited to present her pieces at an exhibition in Osaka, Japan, due to her outstanding work. His paintings have been featured in Atlantic Homes and Lifestyles, Beaux Arts, Table Magazine, Perlora Contemporary Home Magazine, The Wall Street International Magazine and the cover of Housetrends. His work will also be featured in Design Within Reach’s 2019 Catalog. His clients have included The Museum of Contemporary Art in San Diego, Nintendo, IBM, Sony Pictures and Panasonic. His work has been published widely in various publications including TIME, The Wall Street Journal, How Magazine, Graphis, London’s Computer Arts, BIg Magazine, The Book of Probes by Marshall Mcluhan (designed by David Carson), Big Magazine and Speak. His collaboration with José Muniain on the short film installation “Navarro”, which documented his painting process, was a finalist in the D.C. Independent Film Festival. Her work is based on the exploration and understanding of the use of colour as a tool to create a stronger connection between the viewer and the work displayed. Having her interest in colour arise from the common ground that exists between her personal experiences with the use of colour within the Mexican culture and the effects of colour she perceives from her personal artistic practice, she tries to use her work as a way to get familiar with both the far-reaching capabilities of colour and its resourcefulness when transforming everyday scenarios into desirable realities. As her practice has been developing, she has continually incorporated and simplified the idea of architectural shapes. The opportunity for objects to be defined by the simple outline of the flat colours that fill them paired with angular geometric devices has become integral to her practice. She has become increasingly captivated by the intensified sensation of placelessness that floods the compositions and transforms an everyday scene into a puzzling sight that stops the image from being simply an admirable image into a visually engrossing experience.
