Kimberly Blackstock, a Canadian artist from Vancouver's West Coast, draws inspiration from her ever-changing surroundings and life experiences. Her unconventional artistic vision, shaped by a background in Design and Illustration, is characterized by meticulous composition balanced with a playful, unrestricted energy. Rarely using traditional brushes, Blackstock applies paint with her hands, rags, spray bottles, and leftover palette sheets, imbuing her work with a sense of immediacy and raw creativity. Over the last eight years, her dedication to exploring the boundaries of paint application has earned her international recognition, with exhibitions and publications across Canada, the United States, and Europe. Sorbet exemplifies Blackstock’s passion for vibrant palettes, larger-than-life gestural strokes, and thick, dimensional paint applications. Her art offers collectors not only a visually stunning piece but also an emotional connection—her ability to instill feelings of joy, curiosity, and exploration makes her work universally appealing. This artwork is perfect for collectors seeking bold abstract art, textured paintings, or unique contemporary works.
