Manuel Santelices
Manuel Santelices is a Chilean artist and journalist living and working in New York for the last 20 years. After writing stories about style, design, art and politics for several magazines, including the Spanish editions of Elle, Harper’s Bazaar and Esquire, and being a fashion writer in New York for Vogue Mexico and Latin American for seven years, Santelices decided to focus his attention to illustration, painting mostly with watercolors the same characters and events he covered as a journalist.

Undefined by medium, Celso Castro’s works each carry the presence of the artist’s hand through the transparency of their process. Castro’s oeuvre is strongly divided between his photomontage assemblies and watercolor paintings: the prior is marked by the labor-intensive deconstruction of portrait photographs and the latter, by the seemingly frenzied recreation of a past encounter rendered in the drips and scribbles of paint and ink. Both discriminating in what they reveal of the subject, his photomontage and watercolor portraits exude raw sexuality through the combination of Castro’s mark-making and gaze. Celso Castro’s work is a bare-bulb erotic photo foray into the underbelly of Colombia’s drug world. Krzysztof Pastuszka is an interdisciplinary artist who spans sculpture, drawing, engineering, and computer design.
Much of his work focuses on the complexity and tension in transition/transitioning, giving voice to his experience growing up as a trans kid in the late 90s -2000s. His process consists of idea generation and the testing and creation of prototypes to generate a multitude of parts. He focuses on mechanical movement and the interplay between parts to visualize the intricacies of change and focus on the necessity of each component's ability to cooperate with another and create movement. He uses motion as a way to expose all the micro-operations and mental acrobatics involved in navigating and rejecting the unchanging nature of cisnormativity.
