Claire Weist (American, 1930-2014) was an artist known primarily for her watercolor compositions. She won several awards throughout her career, including the jury award for graphics from the Illinois Watercolor Society. After spending time teaching art and as an illustrator, Weist moved to Crete, Illinois and opened her own studio, where she spent the remainder of her professional career.
