What is a salter scale?

1 Answer
What is a salter scale?
A salter scale uses a sling and spring balance to come up with a weight. The original purpose of salter scales was to accurately weigh babies and children under two years of age. Children are cradled in the sling so they can be weighed. Find an assortment of antique and vintage scales from the world’s top sellers on 1stDibs.
