How long do you warm up brandy?

Warm up brandy by first using hot water to warm the snifter you are about to pour it into. Swirl very hot water around the snifter for ten seconds, then pour it out and add up to two ounces of brandy. Let the brandy sit for six seconds, then enjoy.
