Although many may limit “Coachella style” to its original boho turf, some stars have been pushing it into high-fashion territory. One of them is Hailey Bieber, who stepped out in archival Thierry Mugler on night one of the festival’s first weekend.
Bieber shared a few photos of herself wearing a Mugler halter-neck bustier in red leather with flame detailing along the neckline, just like this one available on 1stDibs, and posing in front of Ettore Sottsass’s Ultrafragola mirror. The piece is relatively casual, compared with some of the more sculptural Muglers that celebrities like Anya Taylor Joy have sported recently. Still, it’s several rungs above the band tees some donned at the festival this past weekend.
The bustier isn’t the first Mugler creation Bieber has modeled. Back in November of 2023, she celebrated her birthday in a ruby-red dress by the designer, and six months before that, she wore a black Mugler dress while visiting London, Glamour reported.
The Mugler top and Sottsass mirror weren’t the only high-design moments of Bieber’s Coachella trip. In a second Instagram post capturing her weekend in the desert, she shared a photo of Pierre Paulin’s Dune sofa in the living room of her vacation rental.
