1910 Mutoscope Punch-A-Bag Arcade Game USA1920s Created in the 1920s, the Mutoscope Punch-A-Bag was a popular attraction in penny arcades throughout the country. Very few seem to have survived, as they rarely are seen available for sale. Ours in in fine working condition, operating on a single nickel. Once the coin is inserted, one pulls the leather speed bag downward on its chain. This re-sets the indicator dial back to zero. You then punch the bag with all your might, causing it to hit the wooden "ceiling". The force of the blow will read out on the dial face. If you score 1500 or more, bells inside the mechanism will ring. The cabinet was professionally restored a number of years ago. The leather material surrounding the dial was replaced at that time.
