About the Item
This early piece is a rare and spectacular example of the pyramid - relief artworks by Swiss artist Hans Jorg Glattfelder. Now commonly referred to as Op Art or Optical Art, this bright multi-colored 3D piece looks stunning in real life. Part painting and part sculpture, the colors and shapes change dramatically, as you walk past this amazing artwork. The photos show some of the effects and how the appearance changes, as you view it from various angles.
Purchased at the Bischofberger Gallery in 1969, this was Glattfelders first major solo exhibition in Zurich Switzerland. The piece has had only one owner and has been held in a private collection, until being acquired by Griffin Trading.
Whether you're into Mid Century Modern or the High-rise lifestyle, this phenomenal work of art would make a statement in any home. If your collecting Modern Art, this piece is a must have.
